The complete Warré Hive includes:
- 1 x Solid Floor
- 4 x Hive Boxes, with castellated spacers fitted
- 32 x Top Bars, 8 for each box
- 1 x Stiffened Hessian Crown Cover, made using organic rye flour
- 1 x Quilt
- 1 x Roof
- 1 x Template to apply wax starter strips
The hive comes complete and assembled.
All you need to do is treat the outside of the hive and prime each of the top bars with a bead of beeswax.

- The whole hive is made from 1" thick rough sawn cedar.

Using castellated spacers is a quick and easy way to space top bars. They ensure even spacing of top bars and reduce the area the bees can stick with propolis, making removal of the bars easier.

Made using organic rye flour.
The stiffened hessian crown cover is put on top of the top bars of the upermost box of the Warré Hive. The bees control ventilation by opening or closing the holes in the hessian using propolis. It is recommended to replace the stiffened hessian cover on a yearly basis (in late summer after harvesting any honey).
